The Postbox on Floreana

November 22, 2015

P1080052

In 1752 a post box was erected by some enterprising whaler where letters were placed to be delivered by hand by any sailor heading home.

The modern take on this is we go through the pile of postcards in the box, pick out any close to where we live and deliver it by hand when we get home. None for Bellingen but one for Turramurra that we  will deliver next time in Sydney
